Prior to the sixteenth amendment we funded our Government using taxes from only TARIFFS, "SIN" taxes for Tobacco and Alcohol (and they say we shouldn't mix Government and Religion!). Corporate taxes actually paid the majority ($3.2 Billion-3.4 Billion) of our Government funding (Civil War?) prior to the 1913 amendment used to DIRECTLY TAX CITIZENS. What are tariffs exactly?
TARIFFS are great and protect domestic industries by making imported goods more expensive which encourage consumers to buy American-made products. Therefore, shifts consumer demands homeward, forces product improvement, generates NEW industrial growth and EMPLOYMENT, STOPS unkowning funding foreign forces/terrorist groups and finally generates fair trade practices by DIRECTLY addressing our trade imbalances.
What about that old FAIR TAX idea? Same taxation just a different method to get funded. Its high time time for change as President Trump attempts to lead the way to influencing a very elusive, cumbersome and somewhat spendthrift Legislatiive Branch who needs to be reminded who they work for AND teach them how to BUDGET!!!!
